Following Councilmember David Stromberg's resignation last month, the Town Council decided it will appoint a replacement Councilmember rather than hold a special election. The process underway mirrors the one used when Councilmember Jeanette Fritzky resigned for health reasons a few years ago: interested residents apply, complete questionnaires, are interviewed by the Council in a public session, and then the Council votes on who they'd like to fill the seat.
The public session interviews will take place during a special meeting of the Town Council on Tuesday, October 12 (time TBD).
Four residents have applied for the open seat: Seth Freeman, Kerry Hillis, Kendall Langan and Sona Makken.
