Moraga Election Results; Union-backed Fire District Candidates Lose 2 of 3 Races

Unofficial election night results released by the county show the following preliminary results for headline Moraga races:

Moraga Town Council

• Steve Woehleke and Kerry Hillis (both running unopposed for two, four-year terms)

• David Shapiro defeated Kendall Langan for the single, two-year term

Moraga-Orinda Fire District

• Greg Hasler defeated Chris Young in Division 1

• Incumbent Steve Danziger defeated Vince Dell'Aquila in Division 3

• Mike Roemer defeated incumbent Michael Donner in Division 4

Hasler, Dell'Aquilla and Roemer were "independent" candidates whereas the other three were union-backed.

Moraga School District

• Incumbent Larry Jacobs along with newcomers Martha White and Kristin Kraetsch were elected to the Board
